Welcome to the Homepage of the Bond Measure for Mountain View Los Altos High School District.

In the next ten years, enrollment at Los Altos and Mountain View High Schools will grow by at least 25%. Based on our area’s local elementary school enrollment, both schools will be overcrowded by 2012.

This Measure will help Mountain View Los Altos High Schools prepare for the arrival of these students and improve education for the growing student enrollment. And it will do so without raising the current tax rate.

Financial Advantages of Measure A include:

  • No increase in the current tax rate
  • Save $400,000 per year from energy efficient improvements
  • The District would qualify for millions of dollars in state matching funds and federal stimulus programs
  • All funds from the bond would remain in our local high schools, they could not be taken by the state

And Measure A prevents overcrowding without increasing the current tax rate.

This Measure will go before voters on June 8, 2010. For more information on registering to vote, your polling location or receiving a mail ballot, please contact the Measure A campaign.
